Standing with Ventura Families Facing Childhood Cancer
Hearing the words “your child has cancer” is something no parent ever wants to experience. Here in Ventura, our Lions Club is committed to walking alongside families who are facing this unimaginable challenge.
Through the support of Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and local Lions efforts, we help provide critical resources that ease the burden on children and families. Grants from LCIF have supported hospitals and clinics across the country with lifesaving equipment and care — and we are working to bring the same hope and strength to families right here in Ventura County.
Every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide. In the United States, nearly 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed before the age of 20. While survival rates are higher in developed nations, far too many children and families still face devastating outcomes without adequate support.
By supporting this cause locally, Ventura Lions join a global network dedicated to improving survival rates, providing compassionate care, and ensuring that no family faces childhood cancer alone.
